Ride
Mandarmani beach is essentially a sea bed with receded waters during low tide. The ground this therefore hard with barely any loose beach sand. Driving on the beach is not only fun (you can literally drive into the sea) but is also the only way to reach some of the fantastic picturesque spots.
Safely Parked
A fishing boat parked on the Mandarmani beach. With the waters receded during low tide, the seat is at quite a distance from the boat.
Red Crab
Mandarmani Beach is full of such Red Crabs. It is hard to approach them, however, after many attempts we managed to corner a few.
Dash for the Crabs
Our driver, Shambhu, was too keen on catching a red crab. Crabs are very hard to approach. The moment they sense an external presence they disappear into their holes. During the day, crabs emerge from the ground as the ground gets warm. Frustrated after two days of failed efforts, seeing so many of them at this spot, Shambhu couldn’t resist himself from dashing to grab one.
How’s the weather?
