Local shopkeeper says that the post office (in the same market) did not start exchanging money untill yesterday. They were busy helping…

How are people living in Nepal and Bhutan getting Indian currency exchanged? ₹500 was accepted when I went despite being illegal in Nepal.

kingslyj No one will return 100s and less to the banks now. So if the new 500s don’t start arriving in quantity early next week. Things will get BAD.
kingslyj I doubt the banks have enough 100s to refill the machines more than 5-6 times.
kingslyj If all 2lakh ATMs are refilled with 9lakhs each *once*. It’ll need more than 11.4% of all ₹100 notes in existence

@kns008 exchange is max ₹4000 in a day, but loophole is you can go to different branches (no tracking mechanism).
