@sidkhullar Any good Nihari available in the daytime near JM?

@shamail Also I’d suggest to
*not* buy an external powered hard-disk. It may be cheaper, but in India, sudden power cuts can do much harm.

@shamail A portable 1 TB seagate external would cost you less than 5k. I’d say the price is very low considering the value of data.

@shamail And everything is an investment. You wont get 300GBs of online storage for free + take into account the internet charges and speed.

@shamail Using a separate storage device is the basis of taking a backup. It wouldn’t really help taking a backup within the same storage.

@shamail If you have bought web-space, you can set up code repositories in that. Should work fine with 3G. Good solution for work-stuff.

@shamail I don’t see any reason for hating Time Machine, cause it is so simple to setup and take backups. One of the best apps in Mac.

@shamail I use a 1 TB Portable External for Time Machine, and I backup _everything_ except my movies folder.

@shamail If you have *lots* of data, no better alternative than getting yourself a HDD. Low-sized imp stuff, you can use online services.
