@MaAlterEgo She wouldn’t have got the money even if there was no bandh.

@nisheeth Would be happy if this succeeds in overthrowing her. Problem is that her vote-bank ain’t rich-enough to see maps on iPhones.

@nisheeth Right. But I don’t remember the river below the Howrah bridge ever running dry.

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to nisheeth

@nisheeth Native app experience would be better, IMO.

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to nisheeth

@nisheeth Haha. I am sure @_karan is not allowed to comment on this disaster, and perhaps not allowed to empathise as well.

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to nisheeth

@nisheeth Adding to your home screen gives a sub-par performance. Ain’t good enough. To top that Google Earth isn’t on the Indian Store.

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to nisheeth

@nisheeth Well they’ve never really cared beyond the first world countries anyways. More: theamazingios6maps.tumblr.com

@nisheeth You are not in India. You need to see how bare the maps are for Indian cities. It’s all over twitter and web.

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to nisheeth

@nisheeth Maps. The only reason why I haven’t upgraded.

Had only expected lack of details, not this.

@s_shashank_s Never witnessed bandhs in Delhi like those in Calcutta (or even Blr). Grandma (from Cal) was so worried as I left home today.

@rohananeja What! Are you saying that if your keyboard goes kaput your battery gets changed alongside? @VarunSPuri

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to rohananeja

@rohananeja Also chances are very high that you’d rather want to change your laptop after 3 years. 3 years is a long time. @VarunSPuri

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to rohananeja

@rohananeja Apple batteries since unibody MBPs are much better, mine is good even after 3 years. AppleCare doesn’t cover them. @VarunSPuri

@geohacker Not sure why the Google Earth app is not on the Indian Store. It could’ve helped. @s_shashank_s @gonsalves_r @jackerhack

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to geohacker

@geohacker Sure Apple policies/approvals are a problem. But I also fear that Google could get tactical and try to leverage this on Android.

@vrinda_m And I had a smooth sail on the bus. No trouble with public transport. \m/

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to vrinda_m

@rohananeja Also I hope you have purchased Apple Care. If not, do it ASAP. And, what makes you bothered about the battery? @VarunSPuri

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to rohananeja

@rohananeja Bad luck, I’d say. I had a similar bad luck with my last MBP, not with this one. @VarunSPuri

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to rohananeja

@rohananeja In fact I don’t recall any hyped Apple software this year. Only hardware — Retina MBP and a little on the iPhone 5.@VarunSPurii

I love bandhs in Delhi. It’s like the same Delhi with a lot fewer people on the streets.

@s_shashank_s Hope Google comes with an app & Apple doesn’t reject it, or Apple maps turns good enough. @gonsalves_r @geohacker @jackerhack

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to s_shashank_s

@s_shashank_s No maps far outweighs the little improvements that come with iOS 6. I’m not upgrading now. @gonsalves_r @geohacker @jackerhack

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to s_shashank_s

@MaAlterEgo Don’t worry. Hardly anyone in India is pleased with iOS6.

via Tweetbot for iOS

@VarunSPuri Not worried about speed, but I am waiting for Google to come out with a maps app. And I hope Apple doesn’t reject it.
