jackerhack My friend @artofvision needs help moving Wordpress to a new host. He’d have done it himself, but he’s blind and the CLI isn’t accessible.

@jharkhand_ee That is okay as long as you do not live in a city covered by Zomato.

The hiring stunt @Zomato put out today wasn’t tasteful, but if you deleted the Zomato app in response toh .

@BaatooniLadki Agree.
“Why stoop low?” — Could be anything ranging from stupidity, arrogance or desperation. I’ll bet on the latter side.

via Twitter for Mac in reply to BaatooniLadki

@BaatooniLadki People will not apply because of the joke. Instead because they’re looking for a better offer & @Zomato’s helping them move.

@vikramadhiman While I do agree Delhi has enough tech companies, & I do prefer life in Delhi, it’s miles behind in terms of tech community.

via Twitter for Mac in reply to vikramadhiman

@vikramadhiman The entire page compares life in general in the two cities. Hardly any tech capital talk except for making cheap jibes.

via Twitter for Mac in reply to vikramadhiman

@vikramadhiman You call this a bold stand? How is this a stand?

via Twitter for Mac in reply to vikramadhiman

@BaatooniLadki Heh, it may be low, but it’s drawing them enough attention and it *will* draw them enough job applications. @Zomato

@kaustavdm Marketing in focussed circles (maybe even inviting) can get better audience. But classic chicken & egg problem this. @jackerhack

via Twitter for Mac in reply to kaustavdm

@kaustavdm Flip that around. Say you were presenting to accomplished developers, you’d yourself move away from how-to content. @jackerhack

via Twitter for Mac in reply to kaustavdm

@kaustavdm Different perspective: Talks can get only as good as audience demand. Improving audience quality too needs attention. @jackerhack

@GnrlMxms @jackerhack It’s a culture problem, and someone has to drive it. This @Zomato page is clearly a cheap shot.

I agree. “@jackerhack: Wow, @Zomato has serious Bangalore envy. How desperate must the Delhi tech scene be? zomato.com/techcapital

@jackerhack @kaustavdm “Why vs How” apart, another problem that I find is that very few talks inspire enough and deserve being recommended.

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to souvikdg from New Delhi

@jackerhack @kaustavdm Most workplaces highly underrate “why”. Getting things done takes importance over digging deep & doing things right.

@manasmohan Nahi yaar. to door door tak nahi. Bas yeh hai ki doodh se dil banana sabse aasan hai.

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to manasmohan from New Delhi

@kaustavdm After last @metarefresh I put a fair bit of thought on the content/speaker quality. Improving it is by no means straightforward.

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to kaustavdm from New Delhi

@kaustavdm “Why over how” has been my beef as well. And not just for @hasgeek events but for other events as well.

@gonsalves_r Whenever you’re in town next, we’ll pull a shot. It’s fun! :)

@gonsalves_r How’s the Hario frother?

I use the manual frother that came with my espresso maker: youtu.be/WBRXIjCg8CY

Miserable attempt at latte art. Yet to master the quality of micro-froth. Wish I were making more cups a day. pic.twitter.com/5LBiVsH5Lr
