@shrayasr @nigelbabu Noted. Have a great trip! I shall hound you after the 15th (though I hope I don’t have to). :p

Where you headed, btw?

TedMielczarek Marathon training feels like being in an abusive relationship with yourself.

@nigelbabu Yeah, and that cannot be avoided unless the road is the dustbin.

via Tweetbot for iΟS in reply to nigelbabu from Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi

@nigelbabu Yup, that’s all I meant. I have seen runners throw cans and bottles at @RTRDholavira. Simply saddening.

via Tweetbot for iΟS in reply to nigelbabu from Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi

@nigelbabu I am very sure about this now. It simply won’t. The onus has to stay with runners rather than passing it to organisers.

via Tweetbot for iΟS in reply to nigelbabu from Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi

@nigelbabu What if you get faster and shoot 500m before finishing your bottle?

via Tweetbot for iΟS in reply to nigelbabu from Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi

@shrayasr @nigelbabu Yes! Do both ADHM and SCMM. They’re a grand stage for runners that takes you through the heart of the two cities.

via Tweetbot for iΟS in reply to shrayasr from Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi

@nigelbabu It will not help. Runners need to learn how to carry their own trash until the next bin (could be as far as the next aid station)

via Tweetbot for iΟS in reply to nigelbabu from Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi

@shrayasr @nigelbabu The biggest thing these events achieve is bringing the city together. Witnessed that in SCMM and wish Delhi catches up.

@shrayasr @nigelbabu Many of us feel that events like ADHM are offering us a “service” and compare it to community events. That is unfair.

via Tweetbot for iΟS in reply to shrayasr from Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi

@shrayasr @nigelbabu Organising at scale is a challenge. ADHM aid stations aren’t as stocked as RFL. But it has a different charm + energy.

@shrayasr @nigelbabu But what exactly do you mean by commercial? The event is big, has big sponsors, celebrities but they don’t charge much.

via Tweetbot for iΟS in reply to shrayasr from Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi

@shrayasr About 10-12k people running the half marathon. The size if the event is simply humbling. Right after @runscmm. @nigelbabu

@nigelbabu That’s because you try to keep your targets in the “achievable” zone. @runadhm is sacred. Set yourself a tough challenge.
